Tonkawa Public Schools will be destroying Special Education Records for Tonkawa students receiving services up until the year 2021. “Destruction of records includes physical destruction or removal of personal identifiers as described in IDEA (34 C.F.R. § 300.611)."
Any former student requesting their record should notify Lori Evans by emailing levans@tonkawa.k12.ok.us or calling the school before November 30, 2026. At that time all previous records older than 5 years will be destroyed.
If a record is available, the student listed in the file must receive all records and show identification for said records unless the student is under 18 or guardianship or power of attorney is presented. If requested by mail proof of legal address is required.
